Rob came home with a shiny, pink Barbie fishing pole for Kendall on Friday. They practiced casting and reeling in all night inside our house with a plastic fish on the end. Saturday they headed to lake Texoma with our friend from collge, Justin and his daughter Kayla. From the phone calls and pictures it sounds like they had a great time and even caught a few!
Rob called on the way home to tell me he was cleaning up the boat and packing to come home when Kendall picked up the fishing pole (after being told to leave it alone), proceeded to cast it out, catch a fish, reel it in all without rob knowing. He said he heard her saying,"daddy, daddy, daddy" when he looked over and realized what had just happened.
I would say she's a natural fisherman except when I asked if she caught a big fish, she held her pointer finger and thumb about an inch apart and said, "no, it was really small like this"!!!
