Mother's Day Weekend

Yes, weekend, because we deserve more than just a day! Rob wasn't real keen on the idea at first, but he adapted nicely.  So my weekend started Friday night with a massage.  Saturday afternoon Kendall and I did a little shopping.  Then we all headed to the lake.  I was treated to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants at the lake, Da Happy Cajun!
We slept on the boat then headed to breakfast the next morning.  There was lots of eating this weekend since it's one of my favorite things to do!
We enjoyed some nice sunny, cool weather while riding around in the boat!  It's crazy to me how much Kendall and Kieryn DON'T look alike.  And for that matter, how much Kieryn doesn't look like me either!
I love this sweet little hambone that is wiggly, sweet and funny!  Truly never thought I could love another as much as I loved Kendall.  Boy, was I terribly wrong!!
And love this sassy, energetic, mini me to the moon and back.  Her personality is exact same as mine which also makes me crazier than anyone else, LOL!  We were catching raindrops on our tongues as a light drizzle came though.  (I'm drinking coffee, no mommy hasn't lost her mind.  Yet.)
Stopped to see a turtle crossing the road on our way home.  And the answer to the joke is, "to get back in the pond".
We had breakfast for dinner so I could use my Mother's Day present, a waffle maker.  These buttermilk blueberry waffles were delicious!!

And last, but not least Kendall gave me the Mother's Day present that she made for me at school!  We had an amazing weekend and I feel blessed beyond measure.  Can someone tell me why we can't have Mother's Day every weekend?  I could get used to this!!!

12 Month Stats

Kieryn had her 1 year well visit last week. We had just been the week before also because she has been very fussy. Not normal for my sweet girl. They couldn't find anything wrong with her the first visit. This visit they did notice she had an ear infection and we've started antibiotics, but she's still been very fussy and I was beginning to get worried that this was the new norm. Until....I noticed BOTH of her top 1 year molars are in, poor baby girl. Let's just we are getting by over here.
Her stats are within a half inch and 6oz. of Kendall's 1 year stats, with Kendall being bigger at this age.
And this was the best we could get right now.  We will try again next week! Hoping she finds relief soon.  She would only sleep last night if I was holding her (not such a bad thing because it won't be like this for long)

Celebrating Jesus and Kieryn!

Tody is Easter AND Kieryn's 1st birthday.  No small miracle mind you.  I planned it this way when I scheduled my C-section!  We started the morning off with Easter baskets from the Easter bunny.
Kieryn loves playing with her eggs from her Easter basket!
Kendall enjoying her window markers from her basket.  In case you were wondering, no those aren't bowling balls she drew.  That would be our family!  If I'm not mistaken, I'm bottom far right, but you were probably already able to pick me out!
 Headed to church
We cam home and had a delicious honey ham lunch and then lounged in our comfy clothes watching the rain and hoping it would pass for our neighborhoo Easter Egg hunt.
Neighborhood Easter egg hunt.  Kendall didn't want her picture taken.  It's about nap time!
Our Easter egg hunt ends in the nieghborhood park.  We then headed home to wrap a fun day of celebrating Jesus and Kieryn.  We got the girls bathed and in their jammies and played Kieryn's birthday song from Captain Zoom.  Kendall sang along and danced while Kieryn looked at us like we were crazy. Hey, call it like it is!

Easter Weekend

Pawpaw and Mimi came to visit for the weekend.  And what a busy weekend we had.  Friday we went to the arboretum (along with everyone else in Dallas).  I was dissapointed that the tulips were already gone, but the weather was amazing and we still had a good time.
Saturday morning we went to the McKinney Easter egg hunt.
Saturday afternoon we built a raised bed vegetable garden.  Now if it would stop raining long enough for me to plant my seeds!
Saturday night we went to the Allen Americans hockey game.  We lost, but still had fun!
Headed home to get rested for another busy day tomorrow!

Somebunny's Turning 1!

My baby is turning 1!  I can't even explain how unreal this seems.  The year has flown by.  Completely different from our first year with Kendall where we could give one child undivided attention.  We celebrated the weekend before her actual birthday (which lands on Easter!).  The party was everything I had hoped for and I had so much fun celebrating our sweet baby girl!

 Pom poms made by Ashley
My first piece of yard art ever!
Shirts I made for the girls!
Buckets I made for each kid for the Easter egg hunt
 Pinata Time!
We had individual pics taken of each kid with the bunnies.  Special thanks to Olivia and Lindsay!
Kendall made cascarones a one man sport, cracking them on her own head.  Getting confetti out of that curly hair was another sport in itself!
Easter basket cake from The Cake Stand in McKinney.  Equally as delicious.  Top layer was lemon with buttercream filling.  Bottom layer was strawberry with raspberry presever filling
Having her cake and eating it too!
Present time, AKA paper eating time
Our small celebration surrounded by friends and family was perfect!
